Hello to the forum.

We are (potentially) soon to be new FR owners. After of couple of motorhomes, we have evaluated our usage and are ready to move to a fifth wheel. We have been looking and researching several brands and models and really like the FR 356QB layout and weight.

I was led to this forum while searching for an answer to a question.... What is the difference between the Salem Hemisphere and the Heritage Glen? Based on what I have found so far, it appears to just be badging, decoration, and graphics. However, every Salem Hemisphere I find in in searches show a higher price. For example a Salem We really like shows $43,995 while a Heritage we like shows $38,950. I realize these are just advertised prices, but is there anything that creates the difference (other than dealers etc)?

I realize this is the welcome mat, so this may not be the place to get answers and I will post in the appropriate forum soon.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I look forward to becoming a part of the FROG!

Welcome from Mebane NC. You may want to attend the Raleigh RV show and maybe get a look at the units all at one place. FR like many manufacturers make the same trailers in different names with different trim levels. That may be the difference here. .

For the most part RVs that are the same yet different names is how they tell where they were made. Sample Wildwood/Salem

Looked at few Sandpipers at Country Roads RV (about 3 miles from our house). The sales staff didn't seem very interested when we were there.

Since then, we have moved towards the Salem Hemisphere / Heritage Glen and have visited with NC RV sales (.5 miles from me). Have also had a few conversations with RV Outlet in Danville and Tom Johnson in Concord. Not excited about Camping World from a service viewpoint, but won't let that affect purchasing.

I purchased our current DP from Camping World of Syracuse, and outside of the flights and driving it was a good experience. I wish they had what I was looking for, because my sales guy there (John) was fun to be around and took care of me. Contacted him on a Thursday evening from Dallas Texas (there for work) and worked out a price of everything was what he said it was. Booked a flight for the next morning and arrived when they opened. Looked it over, drove it, etc, and we both agreed on what needed to be fixed / changed (tires, oven pilot, etc) and left in a rental that afternoon for the drive home. Drove a rental up the following week and payed them and drove it home the same day.

Sorry.... I know that wasn't relevant, but CW gets a bad rap so I like to throw in a positive whenever I can. Would never let them work on something I OWN though.

I brought my Cedar Creek from Tom Johnson right at the time Camping World was buying them out, I think it has changed now. I brought three campers from Tom Johnson but if I was buying now I would look someplace else

Well.... We went back to the Sandpiper. Decided (and put a deposit) on a 376BHOK at RV Outlet USA in Danville VA.

Should pick it up Saturday.

Hello Head Gamez. I have purchased two travel trailers from Tom Johnson in Marion. The first was pre-CW and the second was just after the changeover to CW. Same people and same good service both times. We live in Hendersonville and have a CW less than five miles from us and still drive to Marion for purchases and service. See Joe Spencer (sales manager) in Marion and he will take care of you.

We purchased our heritage glen over a Salem hemisphere because we got more features for a little less money. You can always play the two dealers off each other to see who wants to earn your business. If all things are equal on the two trailers!
