Hi all, Time to upgrade from our 2007 Keystone Outback 25RSS.We are not Forest River owners yet, but I have been researching the Rockwood/Flagstaff Mini Lites. We were trying to decide between the RW 2507 and the RW 2509. We looked at the two in person today. We will probably go with the 2507.

Can anyone tell me why there is a slide lock (bar) that goes between the slide and wall when the slide is in? Is there really a chance that the slide could work it's way open while traveling?

Thanks in advance,
Don

Our 2007 Jayco had the travel bars, I never used them. Sold the trailer this April and never had a single issue.
Welcome from Eastern Nebraska. Thanks for kicking the Cornhuskers butt this year.

Ours came with one but during delivery the dealer advised not to use it. He said there were reports of people forgetting it was attached then opening the slide only to tear a hole in the wall. I suppose they are there for a reason but we haven’t and don’t plan to use it.

Welcome to the forum from Chagrin Falls, I had a 2005 25RSS. It was a good trailer for us until the kids out grew the bunks.

The slideout bar is a CYA item.
I only used mine when driving on windy mountain roads.

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Going to look at a Flagstaff 25BDS tomorrow. They have offered, what I think is a good deal and they offered a very fair price for my trade in. Even the Mrs. thinks we should buy it.
