New Member from Pa.

Not new to camping but just bought a coachmen 5th wheel. This thing is scary big to me I have to say. Its about 42 ft long. I have to get out and practice I can see that.

Had to revamp the driveway already pull out 4 trees and prop low wires up plus add on to the culvert pipe.

The 42 feet long doesn't bother me as much as the height of it. Already hit some low trees on the way home with it but no damage. Backing up is somewhat different than a travel trailer found that out the hard way too.

Had a little bit of damage to the property across the street when I had to pull the 1 ton dually up far enough to straighten out. Filled in all the ruts, only took about 3 hours. Those trucks really sink in.

Hope to meet and talk to everybody.

Thanks Tim

Thanks everyone, I'm from New Castle Pa, about 40 miles north of Pittsburgh. I know I will have to practice with this new camper just have to do it. The wife is anxious to get on the road with it.

Having some trouble with right turns seeing the wheels on the camper. Just can't adjust the mirrors to see the wheels very well. I hope I get better at this we plan on going all over with it.

Thanks Tim

hey all, pacin, we camped a few times in your neck of the woods at kalyumet, nice campground, we were going to somerset this weekend to camp at pioneer park but with all this rain we have been having I had my truck and tractor stuck in the mud trying to pull the trailer out, finally got it unstuck today and were heading out next weekend to somerset, don't you just love this weather that we have been getting l.o.l.

joe in pa--know what you mean by the weather. Yesterday was the first I mowed in dry weather this summer. We camped at Kalyumet a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. The GASLIGHT in Emlenton is nice also as is Kozy Rest in Harrisville. I am still working on the ruts I made in the back yard when we came back from Tionesta two weeks ago. oh well.

A lot of people from Pa. on here..I didn't see that much activity on the Pa. forum. Maybe we should look into a get together at a central campground and see what happens.

hello all, hey I didn't know there was a pa section were heading to pioneer park in somerset this weekend, and I will try to make it to kalyumet that weekend in aug ( not sure though have friends coming in from fla. ) but count us in for a get together weekend also. It would be nice to meet some of the folks on here, I am going to keep our trailer in a self storage place for awhile so we don't keep getting stuck in our yard with all this rain we have been having. anyone heading to pioneer park this weekend let me know. take care joe
