New member from WI with a fish house

Just picked up my first camper/fish house yesterday! Plan on enjoying much time out throughout the year with the wife and kid. This is the first model of this type forest river came out with so it should be an interesting experience. First camping trip is planned in a month and I am counting down the days until the lakes freeze up again.. Lol ! Kyle

Truly four seasons, saves on storage. The fish should jump into it

Yes it's a pretty nice setup... Murphy queen bed, side bunk beds, full wet bath, ac, hydraulic jacks with pinned hubs that allow them to tuck into the wheel wells and lay frame and lastly 5 holes in the floor to allow for ice fishing. This unit seemed like the best option for us based on our needs when compared with other manufacturers (ice castle).

Kyle, Congrats! Interesting camper / ice house. What do you do if it freezes to the ice? I can't fathom pulling a rig out onto a frozen lake, but then again I'm a native Floridian.

ww from what I have heard the jacks will be able to "pop it" if it freezes to the ice. Most people with similar units also lay boards under the frame rails to space it off the ice, then they pack snow against the sides (called banking). It's gonna be an interesting journey the first time we take it out. I am thinking 18-20 inches of and we should be good. It will be fun sleeping on the ice.

It has 20 gallon fw and gw tanks along with a 33 gallon bw tank. Wifey needed a real bathroom and running water vs a toilet seat and a bucket! Because of the cold temps we do not plan on having water in the unit during the winter months.
