New member looking at a Solera and Via comments welcome
My husband and I are about to retire and have never owned a TT or an RV but we did have a pop-up during the 80's. We thought we had our minds made up and were going to purchase a 22' Surveyor 226 TT. But after thinking about it, we now think a small RV will suit our needs. We are looking at the FR 24' Solera and the Winnebago Via 25'. We definitely don't want a dinette set. We want the sofa or recliners (that's one thing that will be a deal breaker). We've been told that we can expect approx 17 mpg's on the Solera and Via. There are things we like on each one over the other.
One thing I'm concerned about is the warranty work. We plan on taking a year trip once we get the RV but now, from doing research I've learned that warranty work will not be honored by other dealerships. One local dealership we went to told us that they were part of the "priorityrvnetwork.com". I've looked at their website and it states that they provide technical and roadside service for all personal vehicles owned, rented, leased, or borrowed 24/7 for the past 26 years. Road care is provided by Coach-net. (I've quoted the brochure we were given). It all sounded good but now I'm wondering if this includes warranty work?
I would love to hear any pros or cons concerning priorityrvnetwork.com, the Solera, and the Via.
Glad I found this forum!
