New member/owner from Florida

We are Mike and Linda from Central Florida.
New owners of a one owner 2007 Palomino Puma 30QBSS.
It is in like new condition, the former owners said they took it out twice when they bought it and then adopted twin premmie babies. So they didnt have time to take it out. It sat covered, they put on new tires and a new awning to sell it. Nothing is obviously broken or damaged on it.
We are new to RV's and look forward to getting away from this Florida heat.
I traded a Nissan Rogue in for a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT with the 5.3 V8 and the tow package, rated for 9600 lbs and a hitch weight of 1100 with the equalizer bars. A 1/3 less gas mileage but it rides very nice.
Called Puma and gave them the vin number, received a fax as the RV came out of the factory, great service.
Any tips or concerns I should know about, how about recalls?

Thanks for the info,

Mike

Welcome to the forum. Wife and I are in Central Fla. also. Ask any questions here and you can also private message me. Glad to help.

will say to be leery of RV dealerships as they tend to gouge you on labor and work to be done. Best to do yourself if you can. I won't name the company here but I had a dealership try to jack me up on some work. Brought the TT home and will do the work myself for way less than they wanted. AN example is they wanted $13 in labor to replace the fresh water cap and $12 for the cap.

I'm a do it yourself type of guy.
Bought a brake controller from Campingworld today and installed it in a 2012 Silverado we just bought this past Friday.....
Excited about the RV and getting away.
