New member, soon to be new rver

Hello, my wife and I are currently researching for our first RV. Hoping to be ready by next spring but have to agree on one first! Looks like a great forum, I have learned a lot already in my first day on here.

Welcome to the forum. Do you plan to tow, or looking at classes A,B or C?

Oops, sorry Curt, you just asked that.

Welcome!

No matter what you buy, you’ll find a wealth of information on this forum.

RV shows should be coming up after the holidays. In what area are you located? (Where you at?)

We are looking at class c motorhomes with bunk house models. My problem is that I am trying to find one that you can actually put something in besides passengers! Looks like none of them have very much ccc.

What a coincidence! I'm a couple hours south of Denver. Go Broncos!
Oh... and welcome :-)

Any suggestions on 2018 class c bunkhouse? My wife likes the Jayco 31FS . It is nice but only 1400 ccc, small awning, and doesn't look like much outside storage.

Welcome! Are you stuck on buying new? If not, you could save a ton of money and maybe some headaches, check out RVTrader.com. Either way, be patient and find a floor plan you like. There's no need to rush.

Thanks. No we are not stuck on a new one. I was a little afraid of problems with a used one I guess. I don't know what to expect with a used one I guess. I will have to check out that website.

Used can be usually had at a steep discount from new and often come with extremely low mileage. Research the models in which you are interested so that you know what equipment they have. Whether you buy from private or from a dealer, make sure that you check every single piece of equipment - have everything demonstrated and proven to work.

Welcome from Florida. Good luck in your search. Take your time, go to some shows. Find the best fit for you, and enjoy. Some of the new ones have more issues than the low mileage, well cared for, used ones.

Take your time in looking and buying. I too am a newbie, we looked at the 2 RV dealerships here and the 3-4 RV websites. Finally found the best deal on Craigslist. It was a 2017 Georgetown with about 2,000 miles. Appears that we paid about $8-$10 thousand less than on a new one. I too am reading on this forum and getting some good information. Good Luck!!!
