Hello to all. My wife and I custom ordered and purchased a Rockwood Windjammer 2609W this passed fall from RV Direct. While we did have to wait longer than the originally estimated time for the trailer to be completed, the process went fairly smooth. Once the trailer was completed we took vacation time to go to Elkhart Ind. to pick it up and bring it back to College Park Md. Since then we have taken a nice trip to Canada seeing Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal and the City of Quebec. My wife says that she feels pampered in this trailer compared to the Coleman Caravan that it replaced. So far it has been a great unit to travel in.

In searching for info on our trailer(like why the dry weight increased about 800 lbs. between 2009 and 2010 model years) I stumbled onto FRF. It seems to be a very informative forum with polite people helping others with advice and sharing their experiences. I am excited about joining and hope to add good things to FRF. Thanks.

to the forum and congrats on your new rig, and it sounds like you went to some beautiful places.
There is an RV show coming up in Hanover PA and this dealer is the closest one to us that sells Forest River, we are going to look at the Windjammer 3001-W. The floor plan in this Windjammer is just like the one we have in our 2006 Rock wood 8314SS, but it has the bedroom slide out and more closet space over the tongue area of the camper (in the "V" section).
The dealer gave me a price on my unit as a trade-in,so we will wait and see.
Make sure you visit often and we really like to see some pic of your rig and your travels.......

Hello and Welcome to the forum. I am new to it as well. While I got you how did you get your signature to line up one line on top of other like that. every time I try it puts it back in sentence form. Thanks for any input. Good luck with new trailer.

When you look in the box where you enter your info you will see info indicating your picture. Bring your curser to the end of that and press enter and that will make a new line for your info.

Welcome. Sounds like you are enjoying your new rig. Hope you had a good time in Canada. We were in Quebec in early July and really enjoyed the old city, although the weather was a bit warm for climbing stairs to the Citadel. At any rate we hope you come back again and until then enjoy your travels. Old Guys
