New member with Fuse problem.

Hello everyone! Linda & I have a 2003 FLAGSTAFF 23fbs. Overall a great camper

we have camped every year of our marriage ... Tents ... Pop-ups ... Now a travel trailer ...

New buyers of used travel trailers beware of evidence of water leaks ... We purchased our camper in 2007 ... Didn't notice the "leak" until 2009 ... Thank goodness the 23fbs has an aluminum framing ... Removed the rotted wall and floor ... Replaced with new luan ... Will discuss that later ...

Question ... The 20 amp fuse in the fuse box # 7 keeps blowing .... This is the fuse that controls the bathroom vent fan, monitor and slide-out lights ... Any suggestions on the cause

Jerry & Linda,

Welcome to FRF. Glad to have you with us.

On the fuse problem, disconnect all electrical items in that circuit(bathroom vent fan, monitor and slide-out lights). Install a new fuse. Operate the slide, in and out, a few time to see if the fuse will blow. If it blows, you'll need to look for a bad wire(shorting to ground/frame).
If all is okay, use the process of elimination. Re-connect each item, one at a time to find out which one is causing the fuse to blow.

Enjoy the forums and
