New Member with New 5er
Hi everyone---we just picked up our new 2012 Rockwood 8288WS yesterday and it's parked in our driveway--will take some getting used to after a 25' TT we're used to. We ordered the 5er and it's perfect for us. We love the three slides, and our Camper Dogs (Shadow and Snowball) will surely appreciate the room!! We are in Colorado Springs and usually park at a lovely park in Howard, CO, about two hours away for the summer. It's on the Arkansas River with lots of BLM land nearby that we can visit and let the dogs run free. We also took one long trip from CO-TN-FL-KY-CO last October and while we had a great time, the trip to Yellowstone and parts around there next September will be much better in the new rig! We plan to make some shake-down trips when the weather starts changing in Mar/Apr and in the meantime will have fun getting everything stored away and set up! We hope to glean a lot of good advise from the eperienced folks in this forum.

There is not a better feeling than getting your new 5er! Have a great time on your trips.
BTW I graduated from high school in the Springs. It is still like home to me. I love it there.
