Hello and welcome to the FR family. Whether you should stay at a campground or WalMart can be a personal choice. Some people are pretty comfortable at a WalMart parking lot while some people are not. It can't hurt to take a look at what are your options before deciding.
Staying at WalMart is free (aside from shopping) and there is the cost of staying in a campground. One advantage to a campground is there is usually less foot traffic with people coming & going.
Great choice for "Living within my means" and camping for one...
