I am the proud new owner of an Xlite 185rb. Just getting into the new world of rv camping. Have been an avid camper for some 30+ years. Pushing 50 now and decided a little comfort would be nice. Any helpful advice would be welcome. I am looking for input on a good brand or model even of tow mirrors. I see so many differing opinions here and there in product reviews so I figured I would check with people who experienced their use. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. You will find tons of great advice and friendly people here. We camped for 30 years and finally moved to a TT last year. Weekend trips with a TT are so much easier than with a tent. Enjoy the adventure!

Welcome from Minnesota. I purchased CIPA mirrors for my Ford, they fit great and stay in place.

CIPA mirrors are a great product. Another to look at is the Fit System. Unlike the CIPA, it has both inboard & outboard mirrors (CIPA uses your existing mirror for the inboard) From what I have seen, the Fit System has more rearview viewing space than the CIPA.


Both will do a good job for you though!

Welcome from Colorado and congrats on taking the plunge into RVing!

We had, originally, planned on being in our 60's before we purchased one but then my wife met an elderly lady who bought an RV with her husband in their 60's and LOVED IT but then he ended up getting sick and dying just a few years later...so she told us NOT to wait until we got older.

So this is our 6th year with an RV and we're so glad we listened to her...traveling and camping is our summer hobby when I can get away from work.

2015 nissan xterra pro-4×. US the tow vehicle. The stock mirrors almost work just need a little more to see around the corner of the trailer. Being a cdl driver by profession, I rely on those side mirrors a lot. Will check into the suggested brands ty for the input.
