that "line" is actually the rubber molding trim piece that should be in the upper groove nextto eth roof line, it has pulled out from previous owner and never repaired, I may just cut it off at both ends, it is only cosmetic.

You may be able to put it back in and keep it "stuck" with a bit of lap sealant.

I may try to reattach it once i get the ladder out and get a bettrer look at the channel it should be in.
