Unless you have a residential fridge (highly improbable) your fridge should work on the battery (to run the "brains") and propane, to make the cold.
But be aware that if you have a Dometic fridge (most likely), it probably has a 12VDC door heat strip (aka, condensation heater) which will kill your battery unless you disconnect it. Some models have a switch, up under the freezer door, but most do not. I've attached a manual for the fridge; see diagram on top of page 17, item K is the heater; item R (if you have it) is the switch. I've also attached some info on disconnecting the heater strip. You have to disconnect a wire at the inside light.
