New owner in Virginia

Hello all, my wife and I recently moved up from a pop up to an expandable. We decided on a 2013 Forest River 231KSS. We have 5 kids and a dog that we take camping with us.

Hi there!

Congrats on the new RV! Which line does the 231KSS belong to?

It's a Forest River Rockwood ROO. Found out that this is the first year for this model and only the second sold at the dealership we bought from.

Welcome to the "Roo Kroo"!!

interested why you chose the 23IKSS over the 3-bed 233S, since you have 5 kids and a dog.

The Rockwood Roo seem to be pretty popular so you are in good company with many members here.

Bikendan- we decided on the 231KSS in large part of the openess of the floor plan and that my daughter is going into the Navy this summer with my oldest son joining the Air Force next summer. So we will go from a family of 7 to a family of 5 in just over a year. That and a happy wife = a happy life........lol

Ggrady- congrats on your purchase, to bad you have to wait so long for it. I am seeing just how lucky we are for getting the one we bought because they won't get another for another month or so. By the way, make sure the battery disconnect is relocated from the floor by the rear bed to near the tv. I discovered that you can't access the switch when the unit is closed up and Forest River had it relocated and are suppose to fix in on the assembly line.

Welcome and congrats on your new camper. We looked at that model and I really like that island. But we wanted the kids to have their own space so went with the Roo 233S. We pick it up on Thursday.
