New - Purchasing 2016 Wildwood x-lite 281qbxl

Evening,

My wife and I are in the process of purchasing our first TT. We are going to purchase a 2016 Wildwood X Lite 281QBXL. We are pretty excited about the opportunity to spend more time with our 2 boys.

Hopefully we will be up and running in the next few weeks. I plan on searching the forum when I have questions and looking for advice.

Just a little about us - we live in Portland, OR and have two boys. As I said, this will be our 1st foray into the the RV'ing lifestyle so any and all suggestions, advice, checklists you would like to share....feel free!!!

Ken

Welcome to the forum and the world of RVing. You will enjoy. If weather permitting you should do a shake down in the drive to get a feel how things work and to find any issues. Enjoy Later RJD

I have a 281QBXL....Love it. It's a 2014, bought it new back in April of this year. Have gotten to know it well enough that we can most likely share stories!

Did you get it yet?

Ken,

Just getting back to this thread to add to it. It was good talking to you the other day and seeing the mods you have done so far to your TT. Don't be a stranger on the forum. There are a lot of knowledgable and kind helpful people on here.

Camp!

Stan

We have really enjoyed our new 2016 Wildwood X Lite 282qbxl. We had a couple PDI issues (loose water hose in the bathroom and a small leak on the awning), but were resolved quickly by the dealership.

Since purchasing a couple weeks ago, we have added 2 TV's, Apple TV, and WiFi extender and the best mod (not really) and dehumidifier. We bought a GE 35 pint unit and it has pulled almost a gallon of water out of the air.

I did not realize how humid they get. Also, a buddy told me it was a must have and I totally agree.

Other than that, my wife is starting to outfit the interior and I am now working on the space on the side of our house to store it.

Loving it and slept in it probably 5 nights already. It is perfect, as we are able to just figure out what is needed, prior to our 1st to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving.
