New Rockwood 2306 Ordered

Hey Everyone - I have recently graduated from our late 90's Coleman Popup to a new Rockwood 2306 we just ordered from the Tampa RV Show over the weekend. We are very excited to have it built, delivered and start camping. As we are very active camping already, we have trips booked through July already.

I have been a silent reader of the forum for the past years as we investigated the best new camper to purchase and excited that we chose a Forest River and become an active member of the forum.

I do have one question - How long do you guys expect it will take to have the camper built and delivered ready for pick up? I ordered on Saturday 1/19 and was told about 8 weeks...which will put delivery 3/16. Do you think that is about right?

Oh and of course I will post pics as soon as we have picked it up. First camping spot in the new addition will be Rainbow River State Park - Florida.

I think the 8-week notice is fairly standard, but there can be other delays. Depending on your location to the factory, it will need to be delivered to the dealership and the dealer needs to conduct their PDI and prep before they can walk though with you.

Ask your sales guy to provide you with updates if possible. For example, they should be able to tell you when it is actually being built as well as when it comes off the line.

A couple of years ago, I had ordered on March 15th anticipating around May 15th. We picked up on June 2nd. The delay was a driver shortage that year along with a holiday.

We ordered our Salem Cruise Lite on 1/10 and were told we should have it around the first or second week of March. So it sounds pretty standard. Of course it cannot get here quick enough!!

Congrats on your 2306 -- we love ours! I think we ordered about the same time as yours, and we got it roughly six weeks later. We ordered through RVW and drove out there to pick it up so that probably saved a week or so.

I just got word that our camper will be complete next Tuesday. Allowing a week for travel and a couple of days for prep, I was told I should be able to pick it up Saturday March 23rd! We are ready. We already have about a trip planned.
