Unhappy New RV owner with new RV problem

Hi everyone -

My husband and I purchased our first RV last February. Its a 2014 Forest River Sunseeker. Our main reason for purchasing an RV was because we were tired of renting an RV whenever we were going out of town to my husband's race events. I love that our own personal items can be kept in our rolling home, and after using it a handful of times now, our little dog feels comfortable in it now too.

Unfortunately we have encountered our first RV problem too. I posted in a thread in another discussion board about this issue and I am hoping that someone responds to shed some light on our problem. While driving on the freeway yesterday, the engine shut off suddenly. After turning ignition off then on 10 times, we were able to limp into a Ford dealership. However, the mechanic states that the issue is not with the engine but with the motorhome itself. Now we're trying to figure out how to tow our RV and the trailer back to the RV dealership to look at the problem.

If you have heard of this problem before, please respond! I would hate to think that we bought a lemon and I hope this is going to be a fairly easy fix!

Thanks~

It's a Ford or Chevy issue, depending on which chassis you have.

Question

How did they explain that a Ford or Chevy motor dying is a FR problem?
