New RVers from Texas

We just purchased a 2017 Rockwood 2109s. We'll be picking it up next weekend. We rented a small TT last year, and had such a good time that we decided we would like to have our own. Our tow vehicle is a 2016 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel.

We're planning on heading north at the beginning of August. Glacier if we can, or somewhere between here and there if we find place we like. Our vacations can be a little spontaneous at times.

I hope we meet some of you on the road.

Wink

Congratulations on your new purchase.

Make sure to do a couple of local RV shake down camping weekends before taking off on a long distance journey. Better to get any "needs" addressed by your local service center than be on the road when that "oh no" moments arise....LOL

Congrats on your new TT.

We rented before purchasing our first TT. Learned what we wanted before making the big purchase.

We just traded in a 2014 2104S (slightly different floor plan). Loved it for the 2.5 years we owned it, just needed a little more room since we started tending to carry more people with us. You'll enjoy it.

This is no joke....I was sweating checking the mail a few days ago just walking to the end of the driveway.

I went outside to just check on an ant problem we were having at the CG and watch the steady stream of water from the A/C had to towel off when I went back inside....

Ol' desert boy is not used to that....

Could be worse, lol...I'm 15 min from the beach. I think we have 100+% humidity.

Welcome from another Texan. It was only 70 here this morning, (who knows what is wrong), but we do have 87% humidity. We had a nice little rain shower this morning, but it will be back to summer tomorrow.

We brought our new TT home today. I'm really happy with how easy our 1500 ecodiesel pulled it. We'll be heading out next weekend for an overnighter to make sure we give it a good shakedown prior to our trip to Glacier later this year.

Sounds like fun. Enjoy your trip. Take along a note pad so you can make yourself a list of what you night want to include in your next trip. You might also think of making yourself a check list, one for packing up and another for getting hitched up and on the road. I am too old now to rely on my brain. It kicks out sometimes.
