New RVrs in upstate NY

Hi all - We just bought a 2015 Spartan 3210 toy hauler, and will be leaving on our first trip in a couple of weeks. We love it, have already made some modifications, and can't wait to hit the road! I have a question about a power switch on the docking station (have no idea what it does), but I 'll ask my question in the water/etc. area....

Hello and welcome, How far up the state are you? We're in the southern tier, not far from Cooperstown (most people know where the BB hall of fame is). Enjoy your new coach, we'll see you on the road.

We're in Oneonta, which is probably close-by! Haven't had a chance to do a test-run in NY before our long trip out west, but will be looking for advice on some nice weekend campsites in the finger lakes, maybe for this fall.

We're in Otego, if you didn't guess by our log-in name, it's nice to chat with someone close by! We haven't camped in the finger lakes, so we can't be of much help, we will be camping on Lake George in August, meeting up with some other folks from Oneonta. They recommended Whippoorwill campsite on Lake George if you get a notion to head that way.

We're In Ottawa, Ontario, Canada but often camp in upstate NY. We've been to the Finger Lakes twice and stayed at Watkins Glen SP both times. Nice park, great pool and a beautiful gorge hike right next door.

For the most part we camp along the St Lawrence in State Parks like Long Point, Cedar Point, Kring Point and Coles Creek. We've been to Higley Flow several times - a beautiful spot. And we're off to Robert Moses for the first time in September.

Welcome, congrats on the new rig. We just stayed near Lake George for Americade in June, stayed at Moose Hillock CG. Nice place, it's not on the water but it's a well appointed CG with large, private wooded sites.
