New Solera 24R owner

Bought the Solera in December, and we've been out a couple of times, and our son's and families have taken it several times. Still getting used to it.

We're new to Forest River, but not new to camping or RVs. My family had a Santa Fe trailer in the 60s, followed by a Coleman tent trailer. Then it was all boating for quite a few years but I insisted on an RV so we got a Pleasureway Van in 19987 or thereabouts. Sold that when we got the Solera.

I already miss the quality of the Pleasureway, but love the extra space in the Solera. We still trade-off with the boating and other travel, so we probably won't put a lot of miles on the rig.

I (the wife) am still scared to drive the Solera. But I drove the PW halfway across the US a couple of times. (Dodge Ram chasis.) So, I should be able to do this.

I am looking forward to the tips and help and suggestions from the forum.

Boy - this forum has been a bit of a ghost town. Sorry for the delay in welcoming your aboard. I'm looking forward to having you share your knowledge with us too. The Solera seems pretty popular lately. The extra space must be one of the reasons.

Take care!
