New SP-295 in New Brunswick, Canada

Hey all,

We're picking up our 2012 Surveyor SP-295 tomorrow and heading directly to our favourite campground... Great Bear in Bear Island, NB.

We're trading in the 2009 Rockwood 1910 tent trailer for the new one, so it's quite an upgrade.

We really enjoyed the tent trailer for the couple of years that we had it. It had its minor annoyances (door popped off a lot, etc) but overall, it was a good trailer.

We bought the new F150 so that we could get a larger trailer, et voila!

Looking forward to having my own bathroom and the outdoor kitchen. We do all of our cooking outside, so we think it's a good fit.

One question, though... I thought I was buying a 2011 SP-295, but the purchase order says 2012... Is there a quick way of verifying the year? (Stickers, layout, etc)?

Welcome to the forum! If you ordered it, it is most likely a 2012 model. They have been making 2012 models for several months now.

I would say it is a 2012.We bought our 2011 Salem in April and there were some 2012 models out at that time.

Yes, turns out it is a 2012. The salesman said he got chewed out a little for selling the 2012 when they had some other 2011s they needed to clear out.

We just got back from the first trip and had a great time. It was an easy tow, except for a little bit of a crosswind on the way there.

The only problems we had were that the porch light blew out on our second night and I needed some different nuts and bolts to mount the TV. Oh well, the weather was good so we didn't need the TV anyway. The full moon meant we didn't need the porch light either.

Now to lubricate all the locks and get it as ready as possible for the next trip.

Welcome to the forum. Our favorite GC in NB is The Kiwanis Oceanfront Campground in ST. Andrews.

We haven't been to that campground since we were still tenting. St. Andrews is a very nice place, though.
