New SunSeeker from Chicago!

Today, a cold, wet, snowy day here in Chicago, my wife and I met our future traveling companion, a silver gray SunSeeker MBS 2400W... Actually we spent time with a sister ship... Ours will arrive in early April. We have been thinking and reading about and looking at all manner of Class A's, B's & C's for a couple of years, and thought we knew exactly what we wanted. But then we encountered the 2400W, and it was "really like" at first sight.

It is hard to believe that we have taken this first step down the path to the RV lifestyle... All we know for sure is that we are thrilled, and can't wait to hit the road. Our first trip will be to Texas to see family. We are looking forward to learning from you all as we begin our preparations to get under way.

Thanks!

Welcome from Tennessee! We got the same wet/cold weather last night forcing us inside to prep for spring also. Start packing bags with summer clothes now, make a list of everything you have packed and things you need to acquire for the trip. Leave several blank lines on that list for the items you will forget about until you need them, then just hit a Walmart enroute to Texas. Then the only question you can ask is "Why didn't we do this sooner"?

That makes a lot of sense on your part.....Heck you are getting $1.40 on your dollar right now here in Canada....makes for a cheap vacation when you dollar goes twice as far.

How difficult is it getting across the border (and back) with two dogs?

I think as long as you have proof of their shots up to date it isn't any trouble at all.

You might want to lookup the COE parks near Rend lake in southern Illinois. These would be nice layovers on your way south, if your path takes you that way.

Check out www.Recreation.gov for details. Start your plans now, as the reserved sites fill up fast.

Thanks Campfire! We will check it out tonight. Let's hope for "normal" Spring weather in early April! A couple of years ago we rented a Winne Class B around April 1st to test the waters, and headed straight South, with hopes of finding some warmth. Although we hand a blast, it was despite the weather, which was in the 50's and rainy. But hey, we were traveling in style, so what the heck!
