New to 5th Wheel Living in Apple Valley CA
Purchased 2006 Montana Mountaineer that was already on the RV lot we agreed to lease for a year. The weather (in the 20's at night) helped us realize we weren't going to enjoy this new lifestyle in this rig. It was not weather tight and fuses kept popping. We didn't intend to purchase until the lease was up and we had a chance to experience tiny living for 4 seasons. It took 2 months and we went looking for more efficient coaches. We purchased a 2016 Sanibel 3901 FL. The dealer was closing them out and offered us 30K off the MSRP. We had it delivered on New Year's Day. It will not be moved unless we decide to change lots or move to another RV Resort. For vacations we take our 2005 Keystone 296RL Cougar. So far so good in the Sanibel. The dealer fixed all the warranty items we saw on the walk through, thank goodness. We told them we were not bringing it back once it was set up on the lot. Luckily my husband is very handy and has done all the repairs on all the trailers we have had. I'm excited to hear about any other "stationary" 5th Wheel (Sanibel or otherwise) owners or those traveling full time.
