Assuming it's a 6 speed, or more, you'll be fine. Others on here pull more in a fiver. Take it easy, and enjoy it. A good hitch with sway control will be key too.

Yeah, if you can get a different truck i would, but if not the 6 speed should help out with that ratio. On the plus side, it will be a little more economical when not towing. Tow mirrors are a must, make sure to get all comparable options on mirrors heat, signal, power etc. So.... just how fast is that Z???

something like this, ( http://www.amazon.com/Passenger-Repl...ado+tow+mirors)

I ordered tow mirrors already, so they'll be here later this week. I averaged low 20's since i bought the truck so the gears are helpful in that respect, i just hope that it isn't going to cause any problems with towing.

Lucky 7RV

1Fast: Looks like you MAY BE close to overall weight of your Combo of TV & TT as you have stated. So looked up the TT on Forest River WebSite and sure you have all the info on this TT. Looks like a nice layout, but I would travel with no water in the Fresh Water tank, when towing. In review I see that the:
2015 Cherokee 26DBH Specs are: WT. (Prior to loading all your Cargo)-
5750 lbs Tongue WT. 740 lbs.
Length- 31'7"
Note: The above WTS. do not take in consideration Cargo in TT & added
WTS. Loaded in Tow Vehicle (Passengers, Full tank of Fuel, and what is loaded in the box of your truck). Tongue WT on the TT can go up with full propane tanks, batteries, water in Fresh water, Black & Grey Water Tanks ( Best if all tanks are empty when towing). My intent is not to SCARE YOU, but Caution should play a Hand in any Decisions.
If your RV Dealer has any other options, as per a different TV. Looked up an Alternative-
2015 Cherokee 23DBH: WT. 5385 lbs which is DRY WT,providing the
Literature in correct on FR Website
Tongue WT- 619 lbs.
Length- 29'2"
This model is close to the 1 you bought. Exception is you lose the couch.

Another model is the Cherokee 23BD which has the same Specs as the above listed 23BDH.
I did see that the TT you bought at the Dealer- would not be ready for a while, so perhaps you can put together an Alternative situation.
After all, it is a LOT of Buckaroos your spending and it sounds to me ,like the Salesman you R dealing with ,DOESN'T know much about selling someone Something that fits in the Correct Parimeters. They just want money in Their pockets. To say you could pull your new TT with GMC Envoy tells me a LOT about them. Money over SAFETY
Well I've Vented enough and WISH you the Best in your new ADVENTURE.
Thank YOU!!! Isn't this enough to put one in a Dizzy?

On top of the glove box there should be a gearing sticker, it will be a gu code,
GU4 3.083
GU5 3.23
GU6 3.42
GT4 3.73
You can use this to confirm but my thinking is if you did the vin decode or build sheet it will tell you the same thing.

The 3.08 gives you a tow rating of 6600lbs, base weight of your TT is 5750, so you can add about 850 including bat and lp. Not a lot to play with but that's worse case scenario. Not ideal and hopefully the dealer can do something since it seems like it was misrepresented in the add and in person. Keep us posted on what they do for you.

Just a note, when you hook up, make sure you ALWAYS engage the Tow/Haul mode. I have the GU5 and pull a 5er with no problem. Mine very seldom ever shifts into 4th or OD. Still get around 9.0 mpg and pull 60-65mph max except sometimes (rarely) get to 70 down some hills.
