Smile New to camper and forum from The Jersey Shore!

Hi everyone. My husband and I purchased a 2007 Cherokee in May and just got home from our last trip for the season. I am taking her to get winterized on Monday. This summer was an interesting adventure! Prior to this year we camped in tents. I was injured 8 years ago, after 5 back surgeries, no more tents... we rented the 1 or 2 trips we would take. I am now retired, although my husband works. We have 5 grown children, the youngest of the group is 22, we also have a 12 year old. We chose a camper with a living room/ kitchen table slide out. The bedroom has a heated mattress, good for me. We decided this was better than a bunk room camper...the living area was smaller and with only one of our kids traveling with us, the extra space the slide provids is nice. I have a few questions...but will browse the threads to see if they are there, if not I will post.

In general, if anyone has any tips to make set up easy, my back would appreciate it. Thank you!

My DW purchased a queen foam mattress top and I can't tell you how much it has helped my back. Best night sleep possible.

. I have a similar issue. Our levelers, we use a drill to raise and lower. Our jack is automatic too. Basically , anything with a crank, you can use a drill on. Then I have this wonderful mattress topper from Costco . Gel and feels like my home bed.
Set up is easy if you just push buttons .
