New to fifth wheeling with a refrigerator question

Hi from Pleasant Garden, NC

I bought a 2016 Columbus 385bh in June. Since I bought it in Indiana and had it delivered, I had no walk thru (big mistake). My late husband and I owned motor home, but he was the one who took care of everything. Anyway, now I'm trying this adventure on my own I'm learning as I go.
Question for you experienced RVers: The refrigerator is a double door model with three buttons to control the on/off, auto or Lp, and the temperature setting. The fifth is parked in a resort beach area here in NC. I go and come as it is three hours away. I have found that when I return after a few days the refrigerator is not working and is "flashing 60 LP". It has drained two LP tanks already and I'm losing everything in my fridge each time this happens.
What is causing it to switch to LP.? How do I get it to stay on regular electric current?

If you are gone for some time does the park turn off the power?

Unless I am missing something with the fridge on Auto and 115 power it should only switch to gas if the power is turned off.

If you have three buttons as you say, the on/off needs to pushed in to turn on the frig, I assume you have done that. The auto button also should be push. The LP button should not be pushed. In auto the first choice is 120 VAC, and the second choice is LP.

Thanks for your replies. It is possible that the power goes off due to severe weather in the area. Is there a way to ensure that the fridge switches back to electric when power is restored instead of draining the LP tanks?

Fill propane tanks, turn refer to auto. It will run on electricity unless you loose power. Then it will switch to gas until electricity is restored.
Be sure everything else gas is turned off. One propane tank should power a refer for months, so unless you have a gas leak you likely never had full tanks. Dealer rarely purge and fill them.

Welcome from Georgia. I would check with your CG about the power issue. I also agree that your LP should not be draining at this rate. Check for leaks.
