New to Forest River and RV'ing

Hello from Ohio, we just purchased our first RV travel trailer. A 2011 Rockwood 8315ss and our tv is a 2011 Ford Expedition. We are new to the whole rv lifestyle, so any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. We are excited for our first adventure. Thanks in advance from Joe & Norene

Welcome!

I'm not familiar with your travel trailer and don't greatly know your row vehicle, but it's probably worth doing the math to make sure that you have enough payload capacity for the trailer's tongue weight.

Welcome to the foruma and to RVing. Take everything slow at first and you will learn. You will receive a lot of advice on this site, some good and some not as good. You ultimately need to do what is best for you and your family. With that said, get out there and go camping.

That trailer is 7000 lbs dry with a tongue weight of almost 1000 lbs.
Add your 1000 lbs worth of items into camper .." average user loaded items"
38 lbs. for a full 20 lb. size propane tank, 18 lbs. if empty each
54 lbs. for a full 30 lb. size propane tank, 24 lbs. if empty each
Weight distribution hitch
battery
riders
dogs if you have any
firewood
bikes

I dont think you'll like the outcome
