New to Forum and New to Our Camper

Hi,

Me and my wife recently got a 2009 sandpiper 335QBQ. We have plans to remodel the whole thing and live in it once its done. We have already started some of the tear outs, including all the flooring and replacing everything with lament Flooring except the slides. The slides we decided to keep with the same idea that was used before tearing out with a really big rug covering the slide out and covering the part of the floor that exposes the slide line. But of course with a much nicer rug. We then plan to start stripping down all the cabinets and painting them white. My wife wants to paint the walls but I am worried about how it will turn out with the strips that cover up the joints of the wall board, I am sure there's something I can replace the strips with to make a flat transition but I am yet to find a solution. The next thing on the list is to look at the counter tops and decided how we want to redo them. Then to move to the shower/bathrooms. With being in the process of all these of course there was some problems we have ran into. One being the slide out seals leak and the floor was water stained and had some mold growing but we have been treating it with bleach and its making the wood like new in those areas. I have to find the seals and replace them all along all four bump outs to be safe. I also have plans to reseal the roof and replace all the skylights to prevent leaks in the future. But I am not exactly sure where to get these parts just yet. I Look forward to all the information I will be learning from this forum and any info I can help spread to help others.

335QBQ Sandpiper,

Dalton & Jordan Tomeski

For any seals, try Steel Rubber Company. They came out with a line of RV seals. Get a catalog and you can match them or send them a sample and they can match/make new. I have used their seals for old cars and they stand behind their product.
