Welcome to the forum from Madison, AL. Not sure that I would want to go from a motorhome to a pop up, but if that is what makes you a happy camper then I am happy for you. Really it doesn't matter what kind of RV you have, what matters is that you are out there camping with your family and seeing our great country.

Welcome to the Insanity! When Wifey, the 3 young kids and I first started camping on wheels, we borrowed my buddies 1984 Starcraft pop-up trailer. I can't imagine how we stuffed the 5 of us in a 12 ft box... Fast forward 20 years and now it's just the two of us in a 38 ft 'Beast' fifth wheel.

Welcome! Boomerang PUP lovers, huh? FYI, it may not be good form to recommend another forum, but the Popupportal has really good Pop Up stuff in it. Not trying to get you to leave, just pointing out a good source of additional information about PUPs!!

We started in a pop up. A 1999 Coachmen Clipper 1290-STS. I loved it, my DW hated it. She didn't like smelling the vinyl, the put up and take down times, etc. We've since moved on to trailers. Of those, we are on our third. I do kind-of miss the PUP, though.

I hope you get lots of great years out of your new pop up.

Sounds like 'The Beast' is a popular name, my DH says the same about our 5'er
