New to me 2015 Forest River Sig UL owner.

Hello,

I just bought a 2015 Forest River Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8325SS. I picked it up as a bank repo for my hinting property. It's barely used. I'd like some info on the replacement of the slide toppers. They are ratted out.

The FR Sig UL is a great trailer!

You just need to measure the length and call Dometic, they can send you new material, very easy to replace,,, Congrats on your new unit....

There are several YouTube videos that may help with the installation
, once you get the supplies.

In three years they are "ratted out'?

Easy solution...take them off and don't bother replacing them.

They are way over rated at best, anyways.

Not sure what happened. The rest of the trailer is in great shape. The TT sat at the bank for the last year so the only thing I can think of is sun/rain etc. I don't have much knowledge on the toppers as I have never owned a TT with them.

Could be that, but also wind damage, slides should be rolled in when not in use, mine were 7 years old and still like new. You do want them, they are great to have think SUN RAIN and dirt shades.

That's your opinion. Myself and many others on this board will disagree with you. I'm a seasonal camper in one park. My topper is out 24/7 for 4 months. I would not be without one. Number one reason being cooler slide out. No heat penetration from the sun. #2 is roof protection. Don't know how old it is. I bought this trailer 3 years ago. It is 2002 in excellent shape. Very well maintained. .
