Smile new to "non tent" camping

My first step in rv camping is just a little pop up. We plan to see how we like it . It's a 2013 Flagstaff . It's just me the wife and my 10 year old. If we like it we plan to make a slow progression to something along the lines of a 5th wheel or something to drive. We will mostly use this at Disney as we go 2 to 3 times a year for the last 12 years . We have been camping with the Scouts for 4 years and enjoy it . I was a Scout and have always loved camping.

Ditto!
Lots of good memories to come. There's something about RVing that is so comforting especially sitting around the fire and enjoying the quiet life.

Welcome to the forum and congrats. We progressed up from tent camping also. As we got older our bodies wanted more comfort when we were out in the woods. We bought our first PUP on the 2nd of January, 2010. We noticed that it was a little different than the tent. We started to look at different things when we went camping, spots, how far the water was, electrical hook ups, etc. We loved it, used it for two years. We towed it with our Dodge Caravan, no problems. I bought a pickup that we used to tow with. We were camping in Oct. of 2011 and it was raining when I had to fold up camp. We then started thinking, truck, hey we might be able to get something different, so we started looking. We found a used tt not far from our house at a dealer's, bought it on the 5 of January, 2012. We progressed up some. Started looking at camping spots again in a different way, longer, level, water, power, etc. The biggy was gas mileage! We love our tt, just the two of us and a furry friend, plus it is easier for me to keep clean. I guess everyone makes the slow progression up. Enjoy the family times together and make memories, that is what it is all about.
