Looks like we did it and put a deposit on a new 2016 Palomino 8801 TC yesterday. We won't take receipt of it until October 27th (I hope we have some free weekends to actually use it since we don't have a free weekend to pick it up!)
I've done a lot of camping in a LQ horse trailers with girlfriends, but this will be my husband's first foray into camping and our first into ownership.
Looking forward to a little dry winter camping before we finally hit spring/summer for weekend trips.
The dealer is 80 miles away and they want to do a thorough inspection because it has been on the lot for a while. Then they want to spend time doing a walk through. We have something every single weekend until we are finally both free on the 27th and I want to make sure both me and SO are there to learn about the camper. It is nice that the one year manufacturer warranty will begin on pick up.
Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Seems to be a long wait for a 2016 rig
I bought a 2014 Rockwood Roo 19 in February 2018 and didn't pick it up until April. I had no use for it during the winter and the dealer stored at no charge

Welcome from upstate NY. Nice to hear that neither you nor the dealer is in a rush to close the deal. A good prep. and a good PDI makes a world of difference. Hats off to your dealer, enjoy the new rig, God Bless.
