Rick,

Those Yamaha & Honda Parallel generators are VERY popular on the forums. They are pricy but you use one when you don't need A/C & Hook the other one up when you do! do a forum search - TONS of posts on them.

a heads up

I am a brand new owner of a rockwood minilite 2309s... following startup instructions for fresh water tank...to flush and sterilize with clorine....wait until you have the job complete before putting in filter element....book doesn't say anything about this till the end of the book....so I screwed up my $40 cartridge .
also, the screwjack that keeps the slide tight and secure....use it !...while towing...just remember to take it out before you hit the slide button to open.

My KW-1 filter is in the process of being eliminated - its just a pain in the backside when winterizing (and dewinterizing as you figured out).

I had a brand-new whole house filter lying around and the 5 micron carbon filters for that are 1/3 the price of the KW-1 replacement. Will use that externally like so many others here and not have to dismantle half my cabinetry to get to the original.

I would get that garbage filter out ASAP! You can look at it funny and the housing will fall off. If you want to keep it fine pull it out put some hose fittings on it and install it outside of the camper.

What 99% of the folks who change this filter (and report that it unscrews itself) fail to do is push UP on the filter when tightening - this "locks" the filter over the notch in the screw that *prevents* the filter from unscrewing

Just had to share that we picked up our first travel trailer today from RV Wholesalers. We had a wonderful PDI and so far all is good. Our new trailer is safely sitting on my driveway awaiting her modifications. Click image for larger version

congrats on your new trailer, and best of luck on the mods,
it seems like there's always one more that needs doing,
every time we return from a trip we've discovered things that we want to tweak or change completely,
I enjoy doing them and then look forward to our next trip to see how that mod improves our use of the trailer,
we have the twin to your trailer, the Micro lite 25KS and one mod that I would certainly suggest is the "awning poles" from Old Coot, if you're not familiar with them just search "awning poles" on this website,
IMO they are a very important item to add to your trailer
happy trailering...........

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your new rig. Depending possibly on the dealer most new campers come with most needed items. Once you take it out then you can decide what works and what does not and replace accordingly. My newest TT I bought the dealer provide water pressure valve TP, Toilet chemicals just to get you started, called a starter package. Also no additional prep fees, large doc fees or additional freight fees. Later RJD
