New to site and RVing

Wanted to say hello and I look forward to finding out lots of information here and hopefully be able to share some as well. I live in southern Virginia and we just bought our first 5th wheel, a 2017 315pack12. Yes, I am a little nervous driving this thing around but I am sure I will get used to it. It can't be much different than driving a large boat around. I have a lot to learn but I am already finding a lot of good information on here!

Welcome from NC! Driving a fiver takes a little get to g used to as it will respond differently than your boat trailer. Practice turning and backing in an empty parking lot. A good guide for turning someone once told me was to wait until the TV rear wheels enter the intersection. Remember to cut wide because the fiver will track inside the truck on a turn. When backing you will quickly learn you can't straighten out going backwards, you will need to pull forward some to straighten out. Enjoy your new fiver!
