New to site --just ordered our 23SS

Hi, I'm new to site, new to Rockwood, but have been doing some comparing of various models and makes and found that the Roo 23SS should suit our needs great. We had to order it, so hopefully it will arrive by camping season here in Maryland. We ordered the Tuscan finishes? Anyone have any comments on this unit, I'm really excited, don't want anyone to burst my bubble, but would like to hear what others have to say about it. We've been hybrid campers for seven years, our current camper is a Starcraft, 19 ft, and it has been great, but we wanted more room, and this model totally won me over, especially with the counter space and all that wonderful storage! So excited...really looking forward to getting it and some great camping trips.

Welcome to the "Roo Kroo"!!!

and to the exclusive 23SS Club!!

one of the most popular modern hybrids, along with the Jayco 23B.
be sure to post on the Roo sub-section here, under "Expandables/Hybrids".
lots of 23SS owners have done great mods to theirs and there's lot of info, on the 23SS, available here or on RV.net's Hybrid forum.

feel free to pm me about anything. we've had our 23SS for over 5 years now and still love it.

Congratulations on your new Roo and we look forward to seeing the pics.

We don't have your trailer but the Roo/Shamrock models in the 23XX lines are fairly similar as far as components, procedures, etc. Feel free to post any specific questions you may have.

Welcome!

We also just joined the forum and have learned a ton in the last week. We are meeting with our dealer to officially order our Roo 25RS a week from today. Maybe they will be finished around the same time.

Welcome and don't take someone chastising you to heart. Some on here don't think they have ever been the new guy.

I think the "chastising remark" was in respone to my own open comment about not wanting anyone to burst my bubble, but looking forward to hearing any and all comments about my 23SS as well as the Tuscan finish which seems to get either very positive or extremely negative reactions from peoples.

Thanks so much for all the welcoming comments...I'm so excitied!!!

having owned my 23SS for over 5 years and also a member of 6 different Hybrid forums, i can say the vast majority of 23SS owners are happy with theirs.

you have to realize that forums like these tend to attract many who are having issues. those that aren't having issues, rarely post about how wonderful their RV is and that they aren't having any problems.

be sure to look into Popup Gizmos or solar blankets for your tent ends. it's the #1 mod by hybrid owners.

You made a good decision to take the tuscan cream. It makes the interior very bright. I heard that many members dont like the tuscan cream but you made a nice choice specially with the wood looking flooring. I have a minilite 2011 equipped with this choice.

I moved and my laptop sent my message before I was finished. I wanted to thank you for your message and photos, your camper looks so pretty, I think we definitely made the right choice. The only person I have to please is me I guess! I cannot wait until our Roo comes in, I know it be a long wait for me, I'm not a very patient person...but when it does I will certainly post pictures. Again, thanks.
