Welcome to the forums from SoCal! Ditto on the PDI checklist suggestion. Having a detailed inspection and walk-through is a good way to test all the systems and make sure everythign is working correctly before you get home.
My suggestion would be to keep things simple while you discover your RVing style. Try not to sweat the small stuff. RVers are usually eager to help other RVers.
