New to the forum...

My wife and I have pleasure of owning a 2009 Rockwood 8280ws purchased last spring in Sault Ste. Marie, ON (Canada). We have a number of questions.. has anyone had problems connecting a satellite dish to the outside outlet? It does not seem to work for us. We have noticed on the 2011 models that the bedroom floor is "flat", it is possible to remove the "hump" on either side of the bed?

Welcome from Southern Ontario. We don't have a Rockwood but we're still glad you're here. I hope someone here will be able to help you. Old Guys

to the forum and congratulations on the new camper! I can't help you with the satellite question, but if yours is like ours, the "humps" on either side of the bed is where the trailer frame is located. Ours is a "mid-profile" fifth wheel, which means it is not quite as high as a "high profile". They are lower because the floor for the bedroom is between the frame rails. The ones without the "humps" have the floor built over the frame rails. The result is that the overall height of the unit is higher and the basement storage underneath will be larger (in height). Hope this helps.

Happy camping!
