New to the Forum

Hello all! We are the Bells (Wade and Pam) and make our home on Amelia Island, FL. Pam and I are newbies to RV camping and are excited to get our feet wet! We just purchased a 1995 Shasta Class C 28.5Ft and will take possession this weekend. My purpose in joining the Forest River forum is to LEARN all I can from your experiences, and hopefully pick up some advice/tips that we can incorporate vice learning from the school of hard knocks. My camping goal is to visit sites around the South East USA for weekend adventures and possibly a long trip each year for vacation. Thank you to the powers that be, for providing this forum. Let the Fun Begin!

Welcome from Wisconsin and congrats on your 1995 Shasta Class C. Lots of friendly, knowledgeable and helpful people here. We were all new to this at one time or another. Take things slow and easy and don't be afraid to ask questions. You might try 'camp driveway' first just to familiarize yourselves with your unit.

Welcome from Minnesnowda. WISCAMPIN is right on. A little weekend camping in the driveway will go a long way. If you do run into a situation at a campground, your best option is your neighbor. There are a lot of friendly campers out there and almost all will be willing to lend a hand. CHEERS

Welcome to the FRF from NC! Congrats on the new to you class C. If you haven't already you need to joinFROG (Forest River Owners group). They hold rallies around the country including several in the southeast (FL, TN, AL, GA, NC, VA). Some are yearly, some are not.
