New to the forum, and camping.

New to the forum, new to camping. My wife and I just purchased our first camper, a Grey Wolf 26bh. Any tips or advice for beginners much appreciated. Also, very interested in setup checklists from pull in to pull out. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum from MN. A couple searches here and online will turn up various checklist for camping. I can warn you about a couple things I did last fall with our new TT. Don't put large level in drawer that doesn't open with slide in. After plugging in electric, make sure you turn the breaker on. Always open low point drains to eliminate water when you winterize, or you'll have to winterize twice. Check your WDH setup after you get your trailer loaded; dealer setup was fine with empty trailer, but needed another washer when loaded.
Have fun!

Welcome to the forum and the world of RVing. One sure thing to remember is never turn on your electric to the hot water heater unless you know there is water in the tank it takes less than 2 sec to burn up the element. Enjoy and Later RJD

RV left should be almost perfectly level before operating fridge or permanent damage may occur.

Pfffft! Rule #34: Don't believe everything you read. Research statements like the above for yourself

Congrats on the new Grey Wolf.

There is a ton of great reading and information on this forum for newbies and experienced RVers alike. Start with the thread that wmtire linked to and go from there. You'll have a million questions so don't be afraid to ask but try doing a search here before you do. I also find YouTube channels like "RVgeeks" and "Love Your RV" to be very helpful for showing you how to do regular maintenance and for reviewing cool RV-related products.

One warning...folks tend to come to a forum like this when they have a problem they need help with so you tend to see an unbalanced percentage of unhappy campers (pun intended) and some threads that are just somebody venting. Take it with a grain of salt. Most FRF members are helpful, respectful and generally have a pretty positive attitude. The admins for this site are very good at identifying and blocking the trolls and shutting down anything that violates forum rules.

If you're looking for a checklist, I use an app on my iPad called RV Checklist. I'm not sure if its available for Android phones/tablets though. Checklists are fantastic to help ensure you do things in the right order and don't forget anything. With the app, you can customize it to your situation.
