New to the forum from Erie, Pa.

Hello everyone, New to the forum, waiting for the call that our new Mini-Lite 2304 has arrived. Wife and 2 Shih Tzus like the idea of the Murphy bed. TV is a 2010 Tacoma 4x4 with the tow package. The Murphy bed make the tongue weight on the heavy side, but the Equalizer hitch should help. Dealer says I can pull it around before finalizing the sale. Any comments or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

I'm new to the forum, too, but will welcome you just the same. I pulled a 26' TT with a Ford Explorer for a couple of years, so you should be fine with your Tacoma as long as you're not exceeding what it's rated for.

Looked over the mini 2304 at a local RV show in Feb and a week later went to the dealer and put a deposit on one the 24th of Feb. Said they already had 3 ordered to arrive around the 2nd week of April. Called today they said should be here in 2-3 days. Can't wait for it to get here and check it over. Maybe camp a night at the local Walmart parking lot!! Thanks all for the warm welcome!

Welcome, I saw you were from Erie and we have plans to visit the area in a few weeks and were wondering what the camping options are. We don't really want to try the casino parking lot, but close there or to the west would be great.

Enjoy your trip to Erie! You can check out Sparrow Pond Family Campgrounds on the internet. It is southwest of the casino about 5-6 miles. Supposed to be pretty nice and they offer off-season rates that do not sound too bad. $25.00 per night. Enjoy!

I was wondering since you live near Erie what are the good campgrounds around there? Ones that you can get in this time of year
thanks

Welcome!
I just joined myself, saw you have a MiniLite on order, I am on my 2nd one, first a 1408, now have a 1809..both are great little trailers, not many problems and I travel from Norwalk OH to SE AZ/CA every winter for 4 to 5 months and live it it..a lot of dry camping/boondocking as well as National and State parks. Good idea to pull one so you know what you are getting into, I have always done the same. I think you have made a good choice on your rv purchace, hope you have as much fun as I have!
Happy Trails!!
Steve
