New to the scene with a 3050S

Greetings!

The wife and I finally took the plunge and bought a Sunseeker 3050S!

We've been lurking, hunting, reviewing, reading, visiting dealers and debating (almost to the point of a domestic sometimes!) which unit to go for. We're totally new to this but have been campers our whole life.

I've been reading the forums as a guest for a while now and I'm sure were going to have a LOT of questions!

We're up in Ontario just outside of Toronto so our season is already wrapped up pretty much but we sure are looking forward to getting out.

Hi everyone!

Thanks!

We took delivery last Saturday and managed one night at a local Conservation Area CG that was closing for the season the next day. We had the coach winterized already so we didn't have any of the wet systems in operation but it sure was different from our tenting experiences!

Found our spot, backed in, jacks down, slide out, awning out, plug in. Done!

Very different from tarp down, tent out, tent up, mattress out, mattress inflated, table out, lights.... wow, I need too rest just typing it all!!

Very looking forward to the season!

Welcome and congratulations on your new 3050s, you will love it. We bought our 3050s in Aug. We also looked for along time and we knew that this was the one the min. we stepped into it. We had a 29 ft class C with no slide for 10 years so we are in 7th heaven with all the room with the big slide, storage, love everything about this unit. Hope you have many wonderful camping experiences with yours. Enjoy !

Hi Sunnyfun!

How have you found your 3050S? Anything give you grief yet?

We're painfully new at this but very excited .

You should be excited, the 3050 is a great motorhome. We had a few things that had to be adjusted that had to be done at the dealers, mainly minor. Had them done when they put our DVD system in that was not put in at the factory. Just look over yours real good, one thing was a piece of trim that was pulled away that we did not notice until camping. But that seems to be the norm, but everything seems to be working great after camping two different times, the last for two weeks. There are a lot of different features that wasn't on our old one, that we had to become familiar with. It is a fun challenge, most times. The one thing when we winterized, taking the filter canister off was a real challenge , it was way to tight, but with help we finally got off and winterizing was a breeze. We are looking forward to taking it south this winter, excited to have a beautiful and spacious unit. The kitchen is great for cooking too. Feel free to ask for help, this forum is a great one for it. Enjoy your new motorhome !
