New to truck camping

Hi!
My name is Kay and my husband, Larry, and I will be starting out on our maiden voyage in April. Cross Country. We plan to make a practice trip before that. We have a 2015 Palomino 1251 which will be on a Ford F150.
I am so new at this that I don't even know what questions to ask! So I would appreciate any tips derived from your experiences!!! Thank you all!

Welcome to forum. There is not too many truck campers sharing info here but were here to provide best info as possible, so ask away. Your unit (if I have the right one below) has a fairly high dry weight at 1737 lbs for a F150 to carry. Once you add all cargo load and passengers in vehicle, it might be above the GVWR. It would be good to make sure all is OK.

Camping a night or two at a local campground can be helpful as you refresh your memory before hitting the road. Also driveway camping is another good option. It can't hurt to make sure everything is working correctly or that you are comfortable.
