New to us 2011 Surveyor SV235RKS

We just returned from our first trip with our TT. I can tell I am going to need some help with this thing. We have always rented trailers until now, so the maintenance and upkeep was done for us. Not so any longer.

We love the trailer, but I know we already came up with some upgrades we would like to make. I will leave those until later.

My main question right now is the documentation seems pretty limited or at least generic to all. Is there not a manual for this specific trailer or at least the brand? It started when I was trying to determine the roof material to start with and I didn't see that noted in the manual provided. I looked at the Forest River FAQS and realized they want me to go to my dealer, but we bought it used so I looked up my ZIP code. The nearest one listed is over an hour away from Colorado Springs. So then my question became; Isn't there not a dealer closer? I tried to contact Forest River and that seems to be difficult other than calling. Do they not have an email address for customer service?

Sorry for the twenty questions, but such is life when you are a newbie.

Documentation is pretty generic for all trailers, not really model specific. Your best bet IMO is if you have specific questions ask them here. Most owners of Surveyors will know more about their units than the dealer does.
By the way...Welcome to the forum!
Go under the Surveyor sub-forum and ask there for question about your specific model. General questions can be posted in the forum that best fits them.

Ditto about going ahead and posting your questions here on the forums! Like bob has mentioned most owners tend to know more about their units than the dealership. Keep in mind that most dealerships sells several brands of RVs. I don't have an email address but I do recommend calling FR and seeing what you can find out.

While the workload might had changed from renting to owning the good times with RVing will only get better.

Thanks. Yes, it is much easier than renting anyway. We always had to reserve a camping spot, then hope we could get the trailer during that same timeframe. Now I just hook it up and go.
