New Trailer Owner 2008 Cherokee Grey Wolf 29B+
Just bought our first travel trailer, a 2008 Forrest River Cherokee Grey Wolf 29B+. Got it from a friend who bought it new for a great deal. They are another Army family being sent overseas so they had to sell. Low miles and overall great condition. Perfect for my family with 3 small kids.
Got a couple questions for the seasoned owners out there. Friends gave full tour and were very upfront with what needs some work. All major systems are good to go, though he did say the water heater might last another 5-10 years or might quit working the next time we use it. I understand that. Other issue is the audio visual/surround sound system really needs updating. They included two flat screen TVs, one front, one in Bunk House and original TV antenna along with original Curtis surround system with inside and outside speakers. The TVs/antenna no longer get signal since the conversion to digital, and the DVD/cd player part of the system is sketchy at best. I have looked and found new systems like it on Amazon for a bit over $100 so seems an easy fix. How about resolving the TV issue? Seems like I will need a new antenna and maybe a converter. The TVs are small so not against just replacing them and the antenna if that is the better and more functional route.
Any comments and suggestions would be great. Looking forward to many years of exploring different beautiful places in the USA. Never done this before so new to my wife and I both. All my camping experiences have been mostly to totally roughing it so this seems like nothing but extreme comfort in comparison.
Thanks,
Jon
