Hook it up and go, that Duramax can handle more than you can throw at it!
And I LOVE that 'brake', came down Black Mountain', NC this afternoon, stpped on the braked and listened to it 'purr'!LOL

The owners manual for my 2008 says not to tow for the first 500 miles and then says not to tow over 50 mph for the first 500 miles of towing.

That's the same thing my Dodge/Cummins said in the manual.

I stuck to the letter and my dealer said I didn't need to do that because no more load than we would have on it, it was like I wasn't towing anyway. I told him that I did it because if anything happened and they (Dodge) asked, I could tell them with a straight face that I did what the manual said.
