New TT owner/Surveyor '09 SV210

Hello everyone! Just got our first camper a couple of weeks ago. Getting it outfitted to go camping here in NC. Planning a trip to MB, SC Labor Day but will have it at a State Park or two before then for practice. Looking forward to building some memories for my 8 yr old boy.

Congrats on your new camper. Your 8 year old will love it and just might continue to camp when he gets older. We started camping when our kids were old but they never caught on so now it's not there thing.

Welcome. Your Surveyor should be good to you if ours is any guide. Bob

Thanks. Had a Winnebago Brave when I was little, but the wife has never been camping. Looking forward to it, but trying to do as much planning as I can so I don't forget to bring stuff!

Yeah, I've got lists on my computer that I print out everytime we go. Don't leave the house until everything is crossed-out! Saves disappointments and aggravation though.

be sure to visit the Expandable section here at FRF. not many Surveyor hybrid owners but lots of Roo and Shamrock owners willing to help you out.

Thanks for the tip - mine is actually not a hybrid (or expandable for that matter). They make a 210 in hybrid but I did not get that version. Thanks.

New camper in Winston Salem NC

Hi Archham,
We too are new to the TT camping thing! We just purchased a 09 FR VCross 26ft and just got back from our first trip to Myrtle Beach Travel Park. We are storing it at MBTP for now. We enjoyed the campground there and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We were going to try Ocean Lakes but heard lots of complaints about the golf carts drivers. We are hoping to get back down to the beach for Labor Day.

We had so much fun our first trip...our little dog woke us up every morning at 7:30 for a run/walk on the beach. My husband and I made the comment that if we knew it was so much fun we would have done this 10 years ago!

You will make some wonderful memories...even on your first trip!

Good luck!

Smile Country Road RV Center

Hi again, I see from your picture you purchased your TT at CRRVC! We did too. They are great people as we have lived in the same community as Jeff and Cindy for years. The guys at the service center are great too. Always ready for our questions and concerns with such nice responses!

Yep, we sure did! Only dealer we visited. They seem like good people, especially Cindy. We like Tom in the service dept too.

We will be at MBTP on Labor Day, one row off the lake, I think. Look us up if you come!
