Newb from Texas

Picking up a Salem 30QBSS Saturday. Already have a spot reserved for a short first run Sat night. We're pretty excited to retire the tent for awhile.

Glad I'm losing sleep surfing because I just came across the 2nd year warranty offer. Will be interesting to see if our dealer informs us of it or tries to sell us something more expensive.

welcome. hope u get many years good use out of it.
i would probably have taken the extended warranty but looking back on it, i haven't had reason to use one. most problems have been small and didn't show up until after the 1st yr. manufacture warranties cover most of the individual systems on there. even with the hind site, i would buy one on a trailer.

Congrats on your new Salem! Many good times are ahead for your family.

I just added the second year warranty about a week or so ago after finding out that the Salem trailers are included in the offer. Thank goodness I'm still in the first year period.

Have fun with your first trip! Be sure to give us an update if you don't mind.

Terie

Thanks all.

Took delivery today. All went well at the dealer. I've been impressed by my salesman. None of the pressure tactics since the beginning and he offered the Forest River 2nd yr warranty up front. He was a pleasure to work with.

Equalizer isn't set up properly but I expected nothing less . The service guy even explained that they more or less eyeball it the first time and explained how to adjust the hitch. I knew I was going to tinker with it no matter what they did so off we went.

Pulled well and I know it will be better when the hitch is set properly. Only problem so far is a bent stabilizer jack and a thrown breaker when we first started the microwave. Hasn't happened again so hopefully the microwave is a non-issue.

Kids (14, 10, and almost 3) are loving it. The list of things we "need" for it is ever expanding. Where does it end . Got to camp a little late. Between setting up, cooking dinner, and organizing; I'm thinking I might get to relax and enjoy it a little tomorrow .
