Thinking of purchasing a Forest River product soon. I do however have a quick question. What's the difference between the Rockwood windjammer 3008W and the Flagstaff V-Lite 30WFKSS. The floorplan is the same as are all the options, is it just another name or are there manufacturing differences between the two. We went to the Hershey show last weekend and really like the floorplan. Thanks in advance.

Rockwood & Flagstaff seem to be pretty much identical trailers. Only explanation I heard that makes any sense is with dealerships. This lets Forest River have a Rockwood and a Flagstaff dealer in the same area.

Yep....everything I've heard on the different lines, ie. Rockwood, Flagstaff, Surveyor, is so they can circumvent the franchise laws. Some states laws are tougher than others, but if it's a different line, they can essentially have a competing dealership for the same items right around the corner from each other without violating the franchise laws.

I put the question to a Forest River Rep about the difference between Rockwood and Flagstaff and the only difference is the decals on the outside. This also gives Forest River more quanitity buying power for the assembly of these units

It's like the difference in Plymouth and Dodge. Same manufacturing line, but they get different stickers, and maybe trim colors, but otherwise, the same construction and features. I have the 30 WRLS Flagstaff, and we love it! Only complaint is the somewhat small holding tanks, but I guess that's part of the "lite". Randy
