Hello to all,
My wife and i are waiting to take delivery of a new Sandpiper 355RE, we currently have a 33 foot bumper pull RV and have been part timers for several years but made a decision it was ttime to step up and buy a fifth wheel that is designed to be lived in instead of living in a weekend warrior type RV.
We are a little anxious to take delivery of our new FW and a bit nervous as well after reading some of the threads on this forum about warrenty issues with the manufacture. I am hopeing we don't have any but know from past experience there are bound to be some problems the first few trips, kind of hard to wrap my mind around that this is the normal but nothing can be done about that unless the dealerships and manufacture take a little more time and pride in quality control.
I am not bashing, so please don't take it that way, just wishful thinking that people would still take pride in thier work.
Thanks for the welcome and any help or sugestions will be greatly appreciated.
Marcus

Welcome and congrats on your Sandpiper 355RE. Hopefully you won't have any major problems with your new camper, but small ones can almost be expected. I only had 2 minor problems with our factory ordered Sabre, the kitchen faucet handle wouldn't stay tight and one day/night shade string broke. Our dealer was on top of both problems and got us replacement parts quickly. I would suggest you get the 2nd year warranty from Forest River to cover yourself. Chances are your dealer won't tell you about it as they make a lot more from 2nd party extended warranties. I did our 2nd year warranty over the phone, it was easy. Link: Forest River Warranty Form

Yes, just a few miles west of Boise.
